Work with me. Say this: "Daddy."
Now repeat it a few times so it rolls off your tongue easily. Got it?
Great! Now you can call to Daddy or go to his side of the bed every few mornings. He can get your breakfast,
Remember, Mommy can't have all the fun.

Dear Snow,
High five and
You're almost the same height as Bug and some of your drifts are as tall as I am. Streets are mostly unplowed, Metro isn't running above ground and buses are limited--if running at all. My office has been closed since Friday. No doubt about it, you're impressive.
We've
Just one question: NOW THAT YOU'RE HERE WHERE DO WE PUT YOU?

Still a snow lover
Dear Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuce,
Just wanted to let you know that I'm doing fine with all the snow in DC. I heard Jersey got hit as well and hope you're okay. It's cold and we've been shoveling out but I've got your

To whom it may concern,
In case you don't hear from me for a few days I've probably channeled my inner Laura Ingalls and decided to go for a walk. Donnie and I want to get

Why do the kids always think only mommmy is good enough!!! Rhiannon is almost 8 and still does that!
ReplyDeleteHope you can dig your way out of the snow soon!
I probably say "Go tell your Daddy" about 10 times a day. And that's on days he works. probably 100 times on the weekends!
ReplyDeleteHope you get those essentials(chocolate) with out getting lost in the snow.
ReplyDeleteThat "game" you mentioned sounds vaguely familiar. I think I've played it before!
ReplyDeletemy daughter said 'daddy' before 'mommy'. some would think i was upset or offended--wasn't i the one who pushed her out? i'm pretty sure that wa me and not him-- but no, i'm pretty okay with it if it means i get to sleep...and sleep...and sleep
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful letter to Bug! Good thinkin'. And the snow is like someone else's kid to me...you like to visit for a little bit, but then you like to go home and leave it all behind!
ReplyDeleteMy kids do that to me too...but sometimes they get a kick outta doing it to daddy. I get a kick out of it too!!
ReplyDeleteI would say boo to all the snow, but since you get time off work for it, YAY!!!! When it melts are you all gonna flood??!!
I'm just stunned that you still like the snow after that!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy do kids not go after daddy more often? It's always mommy!
As soon as my husband gets home from work I automatically tell my 2 year old "go ask daddy. ask you daddy". I love it. It can definitely be the highlight to those bad days.
ReplyDeleteHave fun getting your chocolate--I don't blame you one bit.
Surely you can bribe Bug to go to Daddy's side of the bed in the morning. There has to be something that he'd love to have.....
ReplyDeleteLOVE that first one!
ReplyDeleteLove the Laura Ingalls letter. Happy Firday Follows!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday Follow.
ReplyDeleteI am your new follower.Tag, you're it,lol
It's been awhile since kids have done that to me every morning but now our dog seems to think I am the one to go jump on at 6:30 every morning and wake with wet kisses on the face. I guess I should think it's an honor, because don't they go to the one they love the most? heh heh
