Bug was helping me cook this weekend. I had a measuring cup with oil and asked him to pour the oil in the bowl. He made sure all the oil got in the bowl and said:
"Oil...just like the oil spill in the water."
So that explained why he was so careful while pouring.
He heard about the oil spill at preschool. Hmmmm, guess we should start talking about current events at home instead of watching Curious George.

At least he is conscience of the problem:). Thats cute...
ReplyDeleteIt's cute, but it's so weird to hear them talk about something they learned at school that seems way over their head.
ReplyDeleteLike one time, Kolby comes home and goes, "Mommy, factories are evil."
Okay, what?
At least he is paying attention!
ReplyDeleteThat is cute. It's amazing how much they really listen to what is going on. :)
ReplyDeleteMy boys have been preoccupied with the oil spill too. They were very worried about all the animals. Smart little kids. It is amazing what they pick up.
ReplyDeleteLOL! At least he still dumped it in!
ReplyDeleteSo many times they're running ahead of us. . . I guess that's the way of parenthood, right?
ReplyDeleteI'd rather watch Curious George. and you are a good mommy to let him help pour in the oil. ah. I am way too OCD... flour, okay; an oil spill not so much. :-)
