Our babysitter is on vacation for two-plus weeks so things are a little all over the place at our house right now. I stayed home yesterday. Bug cried and screamed and cried some more when I dropped him off at preschool (he later told me he didn't think I was coming back).
Today at drop off he told me I gave him one too many hugs and asked me to wipe one off and gave me a serving of Mommy B Gone. Sigh...
On my way to work I decided it was a perfect day for hot chocolate. I stopped at a lovely little coffee place around the corner from my office. It's not a big chain and their hot chocolate is capital T--Terrific. I placed my order and the woman behind the counter asked if I wanted whipped cream. "Yes," I said. Then the conversation went like this:
Coffee Lady: You like whipped cream?
Me: Yes, of course.
CL: You like ice cream?
Me: Sure.
CL: You like all sweets?
Me: Yep.
CL: You're not so fat.
(Sigh...correction heavy sigh...)

you are so cute.
ReplyDeleteSo did you go with the ICE CREAM? Her progressive questions are hilarious. I'm sure you'll agree in a day or so. :)
So at the end of the conversation you reached over and smacker her...right?! LOL.
ReplyDeleteMommy B Gone, lol!
ReplyDeleteAnd she's not so smart because that comment would have gotten the manager to resolve the situation.
ReplyDeleteThat is a really funny story-some cultures are so direct-personally I do not like that :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the late night laugh I needed!
xo
I would have slapped that woman!!
ReplyDeletehmmmm ....
ReplyDeleteI don't even know what to say about that conversation!
err uhhh geee, not that fat?
That is so not cool.
ReplyDeleteI always get whipped cream too.
You should have said "Well you're not SO stupid just working in a coffee shop and all." What is that? I think she crossed a line there. I hope the hot chocolate was delish enough to forget about her (after you wrote about it!!)
ReplyDeleteWho says that??!!! yikes!!!
ReplyDeletehmmm.....i think i know the reason this specific shop isnt part of a big chain.
