Dear Someone

Dear Fall,

I'm glad you've arrived. I'm ready to unpack sweaters and tights.

Signed,
A seasonal kind of gal

Dear Work,

Help me figure this out. More than six months ago my position was reduced to part-time for budget reasons/slowing sales/bad economy yet I was still expected to do a full-time job in fewer hours. Recently, I was given responsibilities that were taken from a full-time co-worker to lighten his load. Do you find that odd? Oh, and the extra travel...didn't really want need that.

Signed,
The one who will keep her mouth shut because it helps pay the bills and buy the occasional shoes
Dear Lovely New Shoes,

I hope you're enjoying my closet your new home. When I saw you, it was love at first sight and when I tried you on and felt that smooth leather, I was yours. I look forward to a long and happy life together.

Signed,
Happy Feet

Dear Fellow Bloggers,

Thank you for making me smile, making me laugh so hard I snort or sometimes spit whatever I happened to be drinking while reading, making my cry and making me realize that it's possible to make new friends I may never meet. I may not know your real names or where you live but I enjoy our friendship.

Signed,
A grateful new friend

  2. Amen! I can relate to the laughing and snorting and the fuzzy feeling that comes with belonging to a community of great people. BTW, I would have bought the shoes too!

I see why you're keeping your mouth shut. A girl does need her shoes.

  6. :) I just returned a lovely pair of shoes I was just about positive would never see the light of day if I kept them in my closet - some other happy feet will have the pleasure of wearing them...

  9. Aww, deeez are some good letters! I don't think a lot of companies know what the heck they are doing in this recession, it's all kinda crazy. Oh, fall has made it to your place? I think AZ didn't get the memo on this, it's still been in the 90's here. Oh, I know why AZ didn't get the memo...too many people have been laid off or cut back to part time and the full time people are trying to delegate their duties...

  10. I love these! Just today I was compsoing a Dear Somebody letter in my head.

Sometimes I feel like people want to blame EVERYTHING on the economy. My favorite craft store, for examples, hasn't been having the same, really good sales lately. Meanwhile, the place is slammed. . . I know they can afford it.
